Cellcore HX S is a cellular construction of Expanded Polystyrene that is used beneath reinforced concrete floor slabs to protect against the potential effects of ground heave. It has a wide range of profiles and grades to suit different applications and is BBA certified and meets the NHBC's Technical Standards. The product is designed and moulded to tight tolerances for consistent performance, and is available with integral Filcor insulation, permanent formwork for ground beams or passive gas venting. It is a patented product technology, with standard range of products available in different depths and grades to suit different soil heave potential and concrete depth. Variations of the product are also available for use under pile caps and ground beams or where integral insulation, permanent formwork or passive gas venting is required.
