APPLICATIONS

50mm ROCKWOOL Acoustic RockFloor is designed for use in thermal applications in ground floors, and for acoustic applications in intermediate and separating floors.

ROCKWOOL Acoustic 50mm RockFloor is a mono-density board designed to absorb impact noise in separating floors. It is a tissue-faced, high compressive insulation slab, designed with Part E (Acoustic) regulations in mind.

Acoustic Performance

The unique non-directional fiber orientation and density of stone wool insulation effectively trap sound waves and dampen vibrations, significantly reducing noise. 50mm ROCKWOOL insulation maintains its shape and thickness throughout the building's lifetime, ensuring consistent acoustic performance for decades.

The RockFloor range consists of two products families, 50mm Thermal RockFloor and 50mm Acoustic RockFloor. ROCKWOOL stone wool is durable by nature. Sample testing from existing buildings shows that ROCKWOOL stone wool retains its performance for at least 65 years without being affected by compression or temperature and humidity changes.
