Competitive Trade Pricing with quantity discounts. Online supplier of Decoupling.
Decoupling for tile floors refers to a method of separating the tile layer from the underlying substrate to prevent cracks from transmitting to the tile surface. This is achieved by installing a special type of underlayment, such as a foam mat or uncoupling membrane, between the tiles and the substrate. This underlayment allows for some movement between the two layers, reducing the risk of cracking and prolonging the life of the tile installation. It is especially important for tile installations over concrete substrates, which can expand and contract due to changes in temperature and moisture levels.
