Description

Unilin Insulation | The new name for Xtratherm Insulation in the UK & Ireland.

The 59.5mm XT/TL-MF Thin-R Thermal Liner (Mechanically Fixed) consists of a Unilin 50mm PIR insulation core and a composite foil facing bonded to 9.5mm tapered edge plasterboard, making it an insulated composite panel suitable for internal walls, sloped roofs, and ceilings. However, it is only suitable for mechanically fixed applications.

Both sides of the 59.5mm Insulated Plasterboard feature a composite foil facing that includes an integral vapour control layer, which helps reduce the risk of condensation. The Mechanically fixed XT/TL Thermal Liner is specifically designed to provide high levels of thermal insulation and drylining in a single operation, making it the preferred solution for both new construction and renovation projects.

About

59.5mm Thermal Liner XT/TL-MF is designed to provide high levels of thermal insulation and drylining in one operation, providing the solution of choice in newbuild and refurbishment projects. It improves energy efficiency of your home and has many benefits, including reduced energy costs and improved living conditions.

59.5mm Insulation Board is chemically inert and safe to use manufactured with a blowing agent that has zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and low Global Warming Potential (GWP).

Investing in the energy efficiency of your home can have numerous benefits, including lower energy costs and improved living conditions. The Xtratherm/Unilin XT/TL-MF Thermal Liner is an effective way to help achieve these goals and make your home more energy efficient.

The PIR board also provides a level of fire resistance due to the continuous adhesive ribbons, especially around openings, such as those around windows and doors.

What are Insulated Plasterboards?

The 59.5mm XT/TL-MF insulated plasterboards ( 50mm insulation + 9.5mm plasterboard ) are a type of building material that combines plasterboard with an insulation layer, typically made from PIR Insulation. The insulation layer is bonded to the plasterboard to create a single, multi-functional panel that provides both insulation and a finished surface. They are often used in construction to improve thermal and sound insulation, as well as to simplify and speed up the installation process. They are commonly used in walls, ceilings, and floors, and can come in a variety of sizes and thicknesses to suit different building requirements.
