The EWI Metal Hammer Fixing is a robust and versatile fixing solution designed for securing insulation boards to various substrates. With an 8mm diameter and optimized anchoring zones (ABCD: 25mm, E: 45mm), it provides superior strength and enables a faster installation process.

Intended Uses

EWI Metal Hammer Fixings are specifically designed for securing insulation boards to substrates A, B, C, D, and E. Featuring a plastic-coated metal pin, these fixings effectively reduce thermal bridging.

Suitable for concrete, brick, and other blockwork, they are compatible with EPS, XPS, and Mineral Wool insulation boards. If unsure about substrate compatibility, a pull test is recommended to ensure sufficient load-bearing capacity for an EWI system.

Application Instructions

• Drill a hole perpendicular to the substrate and clear out any debris.
• Create a countersink recess using a router or cutter.
• Insert the fixing into the hole, ensuring the anchor plate sits flush with the EWI/ETICS indented layer.
• Secure the fixing by striking the connector pin with a hammer.
• Insert a thermo dowel cap for additional sealing.
• Verify positioning and seal to ensure optimal performance.
